These images were taken with a Canon G3. Note that the contrast of the two
images are not the same. The contrast of the Raw file was not tweaked, while
the camera's was probably Gamma converted in a different way, and has had an
"S" curve applied. The resulting minor contrast differences are not
considered relevant here.
Top or left: Raw file, converted using the green pixels of a raw file,
sharpened using pnmconvolve.
Bottom or right: jpeg from camera, desaturated using
ppmhsy
